This garden concept embraces a more fluid, organic layout inspired by woodland clearings and natural pathways. A gently curving gravel path meanders through the space, forking into two distinct circular zones that invite exploration and provide contrasting moments of retreat and social gathering. The design focuses on immersive planting with bold textures and layered greenery, creating a sense of seclusion while enhancing seasonal interest and biodiversity.
To the right, a generous dining area captures the evening sun, offering space for alfresco meals and relaxed gatherings. A BBQ is neatly integrated on a stone slab set within the planting, subtly blending functionality with the garden’s natural aesthetic. On the opposite side, a more intimate zone features a hanging chair surrounded by lush vegetation—designed as a peaceful escape perfect for reading or morning coffee. These spaces are connected not just physically but thematically, with every element contributing to a calm, woodland-inspired atmosphere.
Additional features such as a water reflection bowl, woven willow fencing, and a tucked-away log store enrich the character of the space while supporting wildlife. Near the house, a low-profile storage chest provides practical tool storage without disrupting the natural feel. The overall design prioritises comfort, texture, and quiet charm—turning a small garden into a tranquil retreat that feels far removed from daily life.
